How good was Muggsy Bogues?
By indifferent I mean you could care less about. You do not necessarily hate them, but you do not necessarily despise them either. You are just on the "I do not care tangent." Personally, I have 2 teams I have this emotions attached to and they are the New Orleans Hornets and the Portland Trailblazers and here is why.

I have not cared about the NO Hornets ever since they moved out of Charlotte they had some badass teams during the franchise's Charlotte years. Now the franchise is just eh for me a lot of the Magic was gone.

I mean the Alonzo Mourning (whom I did not hate until he went to Miami), Larry Johnson (whom I did not admire to my fullest potential until he came to NY), and Muggsy Bogues tandem was something sweet to watch. Even when Zo and LJ left they had nice teams w/ Glen Rice and Muggsy and even when they left the team was nice w. Baron Davis, David Wesley (when he was good), Jamaal Mashburn/Eddie Jones, PJ Brown (whom I hate), and Jamaal Magloire (back in his All-star days). Plus, Paul Silas was the coach back then he is a legend in his own right.

As, for the Blazers they have lost all admiration worthiness ever since the Jailblazers disbanded. I mean yes they were thuggish, but they were a talented kind of thuggish and although the Blazers are exciting these days and obviously better citizens I do not care about them.

I mean come on. Mighty Mouse at PG, Bonzi Wells at SG, Scottie Pippen the Hall of Fame wily vet at SF, Rasheed Wallace the talented and eccentric individual he was/is leading the front court, and Arvydas Sabonis at C who possessed vast skill set even though he was slow. Then on the bench you had the self-proclaimed Kobe Stopper who was as infallable as a defender came in Ruben Patterson, Brian Grant, Steve "Smitty" Smith and his nice stroke, Derek Anderson and his smooth stroke, and the unused talents of Jermaine O'Neal and Zach Randolph. This was a team and Mike Dunleavy Sr. actually did something with this group not, like now where he sucks in LA. This team is the originator of the Hack-a-Shaq and the majesty seems gone after the team was dismantled.

Are there any teams in the NBA you feel indifferent towards?
1. Muggsy Bogues vs Spudd Webb
2. Muggsey Bogues vs Earl Boykins
3. Spudd Webb vs Earl Boykins

Who would win 1 on 1?
A 5'3" 16 year old white boy told me that his dream in life is to become a professional basketball player. He was being really sincere, not trying to make a joke or anything. I didn't know how to respond so I just said "cool!" His parents are pretty short too, so I assume he's not going to grow much more. Plus he's not particularly athletic. I feel sorry for him because he's really expecting to become a pro basketball player, but there's pretty much no chance.

Despite what people want to believe, we are not all created equal when it comes to sports. Basketball is just about the worst sport when it comes to height discrimination. It glorifies being tall over everything else. Skill and practice are not enough to overcome short height. The exceptions like Muggsy Bogues are one in a million.

So anyway, would it be good to tell this kid he might not achieve his dream? Or would it be better to let him hold on to his delusion awhile longer? The thing is, I don't think he has any sort of backup plan in life. He doesn't seem to have anything else in mind. He's not very concerned about his grades, because he thinks he's going to be getting a basketball scholarship.

Do teachers have a responsibility to inform kids that their dreams are unrealistic?
Mine:
John Stockton
Mark Price
Magic Johnson
Muggsy Bogues
Michael Adams

and I'm 29.

Who are your five favorite point guards in NBA history and what is your age?
If their same heights are 5'3" tall.

I had an argument with my friend.. am I right? Muggsy Bogues better than Mike Jordan …?
Just having some fun. Provided all players are in their prime.

Tallest

C Manute Bol (7'7) tallest in NBA all time
PF Pau Gasol 7'0 tallest PF that is legit 7'0
SF Dirk Nowitzki 7'0 once played SF
SG Kevin Durant 6'9 plays SG or SF
PG Magic Johnson 6'9 tallest and best PG ever.

Shortest

C Ben Wallace 6'9
PF Charles Barkley 6'6
SF Elgin Baylor 6'5
SG Allen Iverson 6'0
PG Muggsy Bogues 5'3

Who would win? and Why?

I take the tall team in a heartbeat. But the short team can deal some serious damage too. Wallace on the defensive end just owns. Iverson during his prime is just an unstoppable scorer. Barkley is also one of the best PF.

All time NBA tallest team vs all time NBA shortest team?
How does that will happen?

He hired his assistant coaches, Manuate "Sudan Pole" Bol and 450 pounder Charles "Ball" Barkley. Is that correct?

news flash! Muggsy Bogues to coach wizards?
In 1999-2000 and 2000-2001.

They both were pretty exciting and fiery. Chris Childs and other former Knick Charles Oakley were on that team and they were pissed at the Knicks that whole series. Oakley threw a ball @ Camby. And Childs just acted pissed.

Knicks won in 2000 and in 2001 we lost that series and that was the last year we had a winning record.

1999-2000 Knicks:

PG. CHARLIE WARD
SG. ALLAN HOUSTON – H20 owned T-Mac
SF. LATRELL SPREWELL
PF. LARRY JOHNSON – Last season where he was a very good player
C. PATRICK EWING – Last, All-star caliber season
6. Marcus Camby
7. Kurt Thomas
8. Chris Childs
9. Chris Dudley
10. Rick Brunson
11. John Wallace
12. Andrew Lang

1999-2000 Raptors:

PG. MUGGSY BOGUES
SG. VINCE CARTER
SF. TRACY MCGRADY
PF. ANTONIO DAVIS
C. CHARLES OAKLEY
6. Dell Curry
7. Alvin Williams
8. Kevin Willis
9. Sean Marks
10. Andrew Lang
11. John Thomas
12. Dee Brown

2000-2001 Knicks:

PG. CHARLIE WARD
SG. ALLAN HOUSTON
SF. LATRELL SPREWELL
PF. LARRY JOHNSON – Done
C. MARCUS CAMBY
6. Glen Rice – Done
7. Kurt Thomas
8. Othella Harrington
9. Mark Jackson – Done
10. Rick Brunson
11. Travis Knight
12. Luc Longley

2000-2001 Raptors:

PG. MUGGSY BOGUES
SG. VINCE CARTER
SF. MORRIS PETERSON
PF. ANTONIO DAVIS
C. KEON CLARK
6. Alvin Williams
7. Chris Childs
8. Charles Oakley
9. Jerome Williams
10. Tracy Murray
11. Eric Montross
12. Michael StewartAnd now the Knicks will get CB4 in 2010 watch!!!Yep we beat them 1st time and lost 3 games to 2 the 2nd time. Year we lost was our last winning year :( . But, Im still optimistic for end of this year :)

Who Remembers Knicks v. Raptors in the Playoffs?
on teamwork

which is better? muggsy bogues or gilbert arenas?
People say he is. I, personally, think he's trash (in terms of the NBA. maybe he can beat me though..).

His lack of size is defended by saying, "what about earl boykins, spud webb, and muggsy bogues". Let's look at the differences in their last year of college:

earl boykins – 25.7ppg, 5.5apg, 1.9spg, 47% fg
spud webb – 10.4ppg, 5.7apg, and an unbelievable vertical
muggsy bogues – 14.8ppg, 9.5apg, 50%fg, a bunch of spg
aj abrams – 17.4ppg, 1.6apg, 1.1spg, 38.4%fg

So.. not hating on AJ, just saying he is far from the greatness these shorties achieved. If he makes it to the NBA, good for him. I don't think he will, because he can't pass the ball (which is ridiculous for that size), doesn't really have nasty handles, doesn't shoot a good percentage… doesn't really do anything at all but shoot. JJ redick is taller and he can barely make his own in the NBA being one dimensional. Last but not least, AJ isn't 5'11. LOL, i've seen him before, more like 5'8…

he's not going to play PG. he'll play SG.. he wont guard Kobe cause what kind of NBA coach would allow that. good luck being embarassed when vujacic or brent barry posts you up.
