I plan on moving to Alaska to start work as an police officer or state trooper, and I was wondering if I decided to move to another state at a later date, would my year's working toward retirement in Alaska follow me or would I have to start over.

If I become a police officer can I move to another state after starting work and keep my retirement?

Arrested.GovtRegistry.comSherry Johnston, 42, was taken into custody at her home in Wasilla, Alaska, on Thursday after an undercover narcotics investigation, Alaska State Troopers said in a statement.

She faces six counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance, said trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters. She was released on $5,000 bail shortly after her arrest. All the charges are felonies.

Peters declined to release any further information about the case, saying police needed to protect the investigation.

Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee in the 2008 election, revealed during the campaign her 18-year-old daughter was pregnant and that Levi Johnston was the father.

The two have said they plan to marry and Bristol Palin is due to give birth this weekend.

Something is always happening in the life of Sarah Palin isn't it?
My husband and I are moving to Alaska where he will be a state trooper there. We would like to live in a cabin; we're used to that. However, we are not accustomed to a dry cabin. Has anyone lived in a dry cabin before? What do you do about cooking, laundry and such? Please share your experiences with me!

How does a person live comfortably in a dry cabin?
My best friend applied for the Alaska State Trooper position. He completed the background packet and sent it in. He was informed that after the background process is completed and he's one of the qualified candidates then he'll need to go up to Alaska for a week for the interview and testings. He wants to know if his trip will be covered by the state of Alaska or will he have to pay out of his pocket to go there and possibly fail.

on and on as if a man possessed or spurned, furious like hell and makes no bones about his abhorrence for her, judging by the unkindest of unkind things he said of the poor lady. If you think it's because of the chemistry, you know, like two persons hating each for no reason, forget it. It was clear he couldn't forgive her for almost derailing Obama,s bid for the Oval Office. He went to great length to carefully impute every thing about the governor, mostly bad, in his script. He would lambaste the GOP v-p candidate for being a hypocrite for condemning Obama as palling around with terrorists when her own husband also was said to be joining an organization that aims to secede Alaska from the United States. He also took to task Fred Thomson for praising the McCain's running mate.Keith even went on to find fault with her performance as Alaska's governor; her lie about trooper-gate, and her calling Obama elitist when she herself was embroiled in the controversy over her US150,000 wardrobe, etc. etc. etc. He seems beside himself when he made those mocking sound, momentarily lowering his voice to a whisper to suddenly shout governor this…governor that… and finally proclaimed in a derisive way: "Governor, you are nothing but a seller of snake oil; you are a fraud!" I was taken aback when I heard the word. Previously he only implied but never actually said fraud. If this barrage continues, only God knows what next he would say. ('Governor, go to hell, perhaps?) ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A report has cleared Gov. Sarah Palin of ethics violations in the firing of her public safety commissioner.

The report, released Monday, said: "There is no probable cause to believe that the governor, or any other state official, violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in connection with these matters." It was prepared by Timothy Petumenos, an independent counsel for the Alaska Personnel Board.

A separate legislative investigation recently concluded that Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, abused her office by allowing her husband and staffers to pressure the public safety commissioner to fire a state trooper who went through a nasty divorce from Palin's sister.

Palin fired Walter Monegan, but denies his dismissal was related to the trooper.

Alaska Personnel Board investigations are normally secret, but the three-member board decided to release this report, citing public interest in the matter given Palin's status as a candidate for national office. Election Day is Tuesday.

Palin had earlier waived her privacy rights, but others in her administration did not and Petumenos sought to keep the matter from playing out in the media.

Petumenos said documents to be released Monday would not include transcripts of separate depositions given by Palin and her husband, Todd.

That deposition was the only one given by Sarah Palin. She was not subpoenaed to answer questions in the Legislature's investigation, though her husband, Todd, gave an affidavit in that probe.

Palin initially said she would cooperate with the Legislature's probe. But after she became John McCain's running mate, she said the investigation had become too partisan and filed an ethics grievance against herself with the personnel board.

Telephone messages left with state Sens. Hollis French, who led the legislative investigation, and Sen. Kim Elton, chairman of the Legislative Council, were not immediately returned.

The NATIONAL ENQUIRER’S exclusive ongoing investigation of GOP VP Nom Sarah 'Barracuda' Palin’s goes far beyond a mere teen pregnancy crisis this week!

The Enquirer’s team of reporters has combed the Alaskan wilderness to discover the hidden truth about Gov. Palin’s family, which has become a central part of her political identity.

The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively that Sarah's oldest son, Track, was addicted to the power drug OxyContin for nearly the past two years, snorting it, eating it, smoking it and even injecting it. And as Track, 19, heads to Iraq as part of the U.S. armed forces, Sarah and her husband Todd were powerless to stop his wild antics, detailed in the new issue of The ENQUIRER, which goes on sale today.

THE ENQUIRER also has exclusive details about Track's use of other drugs, including cocaine, and his involvement in a notorious local vandalism incident.

“I’ve partied with him (Track) for years,” a source disclosed. “I’ve seen him snort cocaine, snort and smoke OxyContin, drink booze and smoke weed.”

The source also divulged the girls would do anything for Track and he’d use his local celebrity status to manipulate other guys “to get them to steal things he wanted.”

“He finally did what a lot of troubled kids here do,” the source divulged. “You join the military.”

And as Gov. Palin has billed the state of Alaska for various expenses related to her children, as reported by The Washington Post, The ENQUIRER's investigation reveals that she was so incensed by 17-year-old Bristol's pregnancy that she banished her daughter from the house.

Another family friend revealed pre-prego Bristol was as much of a hard partier as Track was.

“Bristol was a huge stoner and drinker. I’ve seen her smoke pot and get drunk and make out with so many guys. All the guys would brag that the just made out with Bristol.”

When Sarah found out the teen was pregnant
by high schooler Levi Johnston, she was actually banished from the house. As part of the cover-up, Palin quickly transferred Bristol to another high school and made her move in with Sarah’s sister Heather 25 miles away!

And the ENQUIRER also learned that Levi Johnston, the baby mamma’s future wedded dada, who was glad handed by John McCain at the GOP Convention, isn’t too happy about his impending shotgun nups either.

“Levi got dragged out of the house to go to Minnesota,” Levi’s friend told The ENQUIRER. “Levi realizes he’s stuck being with Bristol because her mom is running for Vice President.”

The friend also confided that both Bristol and Levi “broke up a few times and they definitely messed around with other people.”

Meanwhile, as members of the Palin family’s war viciously over “Trooper-Gate” and claims of Sarah’s extramarital affair have turned the political race into a chaotic arena of threats, denials and vicious attacks by political black ops, The ENQUIRER has discovered shocking new details about the red-hot affair scandal!

Has anyone read the National Inquirer's Palin Family story ?
Why did Sarah Palin refer to Trooper-gate as "Tazer-gate"? I thought the firing of the head of state troopers in Alaska had nothing to do with Trooper Wooten allegedly tazering his step son?No freudian slip, she corrected a report when he said troopergate.
